From the Zapoteco communities in Mexico to the Aymaras in Bolivia, AQUI SOMOS (Hello, Can you hear us?) looks at the struggles of four prominent Indigenous communities, with particular focus upon the Wayuu of Venezuela.

AQUI SOMOS gives voice to the leaders of Indigenous Peoples who are struggling against multinational corporations in order to stop the destruction of the natural resources so necessary to the survival of humankind.

Synopsis castellano:

Este “documental de carretera” rodado desde México hasta Bolivia, da voz a diferentes líderes indígenas (zapoteco, wayuu, aimara…) que actualmente se encuentran en constante confrontación a diferentes corporaciones trasnacionales.

Aquí somos sirve además de vehículo de expresión para explicar como la forma de vida indígena se reivindica a sí misma como alternativa valida y digna de cara al cambio climático, y a la crisis mundial de alimentos y petróleo.
