Help us bring Indigenous voices to 47 million households!

There's no denying that Indigenous peoples are leading some of the most powerful struggles of our time. So, why don’t we get to read about them in newspapers, hear them on the radio or see them on tv?

The fact is, we have never been able to rely on major media to tell our stories—and that won't change anytime soon. But there's nothing to stop us from bringing our stories to tens of millions of people.

That's why we are creating a podcast and TV show that covers the Indigenous world. It's called the Indigenous Rights Report and it will inform and challenge all of us.

Here's the thing: we need time, resources and expertise to move ahead with this work and we can't have any of that without your help.

That is why we are launching our first fundraiser in two years. We need $6385 to get started.

Ok, what's the plan?

In January 2020, we are planning to launch the podcast version of the show.

With that podcast, we will be able to test different formats for our tv program and buy some time to identify investors, finalize agreements, and work out the show's logistics.

It will also give you a great new way to stay on top of the week's biggest stories and help us cover the perennial cost of researching stories for our show with FNX.

How will my money be used?

Given how rare and valuable this opportunity is, we don't want to leave anything to chance. We have carefully planned out everything we need, down to the nearest dollar.

Here's a full breakdown of the first phase of our campaign:

Milestone 1: At $1621 we can buy the services and equipment we need to launch the podcast.

Milestone 2: At $4683 we can produce Season One of the podcast (24 episodes) and generate a new revenue stream for our TV show.

Milestone 3: At $6385 we buy the time we need to identify investors, finalize agreements, hire staff, and work out the show's logistics.

All donations will go to our fiscal sponsor, The Center for World Indigenous Studies (CWIS), a US-based 501C3. They, in turn, will distribute the funds to IC as needed.

After we reach our target goal of $6385, we will begin phase two of our plan, which centers on hiring and paying a fair wage to everyone we need to produce a high quality television show.

You probably don't need any more reason to give, but we're offering you more anyway.

For every $25 you give, you get to vote for one of the stories we are considering for the show (if you donate $50, you can vote on one story twice or two stories once). And for every $250 you give, you get to nominate a story that other donors can vote on.

For trustworthy organizations, we are offering something special. Please contact our Editor in Chief ( for details.

Sounds good. What do you need me to do?

This is a chance to inform, challenge and inspire tens of millions of people. It's a chance to have a controlling stake in the media and put a huge spotlight on dozens of frontline struggles around the world. And, perhaps most importantly, it's a chance to say in one collective voice that we will not be silenced.

Please Give Generously.
