As documented by Jonathan Latham, the greenwashing of rainforest liquidation is now a fait accompli. Having captured the boards of such notable NGOs as World Wildlife Fund, Conservation International and Nature Conservancy, the international agribusiness corporations are now certified by these mega non-profits as sustainable. Never mind the ethnic cleansing of indigenous peoples, genetically-modified crops, or the application of herbicides and pesticides; for a few million euros, these conservation non-profits will stamp their approval on the deal.

Now that’s a conservation coup worth celebrating–in the board rooms on Wall Street.

We're fighting for our lives

Indigenous Peoples are putting their bodies on the line and it's our responsibility to make sure you know why. That takes time, expertise and resources - and we're up against a constant tide of misinformation and distorted coverage. By supporting IC you're empowering the kind of journalism we need, at the moment we need it most.
