The Intercontinental Cry Indigenous Reporting Award (ICIRA) is now accepting pitches for urgent and under-reported stories that center on indigenous rights in the United States.
Two reporters who submit a winning pitch will receive a $750 CAD grant to cover their expenses.
Anyone in the United States can apply; however, pitches will only be accepted until May 31, 2019.

The ICIRA grant program provides financial support to help reporters cover powerful stories that need international exposure. It is made possible through a partnership with the US-based Center for World Indigenous Studies and the Swiss-based human rights organization Incomindios.
