Chagos My Home

By John Ahni Schertow

In the 1960’s, a group of indigenous people were evicted from their homeland in the Chagos Archipelago, Indian Ocean, to build a base for the U.S military.

They have never been allowed to return.

The Chagossians now live as a marginalized community in Mauritius and The Seychelles.

Visit www.speakhumanrights.org and sign the petition to help get the Chagossians home. They need 25,000 signatures in 30 days (by April 4, 2012) to get the attention of the White House.
