This is Winona LaDuke’s plenary talk at ISEC’s Economics of Happiness conference held in Byron Bay, Australia in March 2013. Winona is an Anishinaabe Activist, Author and Orator who serves as the executive director of both Honor the Earth and White Earth Land Recovery Project. She is also co-founder of the Indigenous Women’s Network.

Indigenous Peoples are putting their bodies on the line and it's our responsibility to make sure you know why. That takes time, expertise and resources - and we're up against a constant tide of distorted news and misinformation. By supporting IC, you're empowering the kind of journalism we all need, at the moment we need it most.
