Dear Readers,

For the past 4 weeks we’ve been telling you that IC needs to raise at least $40,000 to continue and expand our work in the coming year. So far, 39 of our 30,000+ readers have heard our call, offering us a total of $1780. We have seven days left to raise the rest.

I think we can all agree that IC plays an important role in our lives and work. After all, when we want to know about the latest challenges, tragedies and triumphs of the world’s Indigenous Peoples, we don’t check out the New York Times or CNN. We go to Intercontinental Cry!

We might not have a fleet of employees or million-dollar backers, but we more than make up for what we lack with solid work and an unwavering commitment to the Indigenous Peoples Movement.

And now we are entering a new era at IC. We are becoming partners with The Center for World Indigenous Studies (CWIS), which is among the oldest and the strongest Indigenous organizations in North America.

With all the challenges that we’ve faced keeping IC going over the last three years, you could say this new partnership is the light at the end of a very long tunnel. All we need now is one push to usher in that new era of original reporting and multimedia production at IC.

We just have to raise $38,320 over the next seven days. That’s about $1 for every IC reader.

If you’re already stretched thin, don’t worry. We don’t expect you to give us the shirt on your back; but if our work helps you, inspires you, challenges you and and encourages you learn and do more, please donate what you can so that we can continue doing what we do best!

Thank you.

We're fighting for our lives

Indigenous Peoples are putting their bodies on the line and it's our responsibility to make sure you know why. That takes time, expertise and resources - and we're up against a constant tide of misinformation and distorted coverage. By supporting IC you're empowering the kind of journalism we need, at the moment we need it most.
