IC Magazine depends on a team of dedicated volunteer bloggers, reporters and correspondents to provide news coverage and analysis in defense and support of the world's Indigenous Peoples.
IC authors write everything from opinion pieces to first-hand citizen journalism, revealing untold histories, raising unheard voices, and weaving a strong narrative that educates, challenges, informs and inspires.
IC authors are unpaid volunteers, to be sure, but any lack of remuneration is more than made up for with exposure an recognition. The exceptional work of our authors gets cited in reports, re-published in magazines, noted in documentary films, and studied in grade schools and universities across North America. Sometimes, our authors even get awards for their good work!
Ideally, we are looking for experienced writers who are interested in contributing a couple articles each month (or more!), but writing for IC isn't just about the turnover. It's about making sure that all Indigenous Peoples and Nations get the media support they need.
If this sounds good to you, we hope you will join the IC team as an author. You just have to fill out the following application form for review.
