Write For Us

Whether you're an activist, a traditional leader or an inexperienced journalist, you are more than welcome to write a story for Intercontinental Cry. In fact, because there are so many stories that need to be told, we hope you will write one; especially if it's about something that no one else is reporting on.

Due to limited funds, we won't be able to pay you for your work; but we hope that will change in the future. For now though, you can rest assured that we will do what we can to help get the word out.

Topics We Cover

IC covers a fairly wide range of topics; from court cases to protests and evictions to land reclamations. As long as Indigenous Peoples are at the center of the story, we will report on it. However, as a general principle, URGENT stories always take precedence.

Such stories include: evictions, arson attacks, paramilitary violence, assassinations, death threats, and any abuses by Governments or corporations.

We're also interested in stories about cultural preservation, traditional knowledge, climate Change, Indigenous Permaculture, sustainable development, Sacred sites (which are in danger) and Canadian mining companies.

Before you start writing an article for IC, please get in touch us and let us know what you'd like to write about. Or if you're just not sure what to write, we're more than willing to share some ideas.
