hmm, I'm not too sure how much help I can be to you here, Ken.

If you want to talk to any of the six I'd suggest calling either Jacob Ostaman, (Spokesman, Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug) KI Band Office (807) 537-2263; or
Chris Reid (Legal Counsel for Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug) (416) 666-2914
to try and arrange some phone interviews.

As for a picture, www.kitchenuhmaykoosib.com just posted one for everyone, along with a few from a recent protest... http://www.kitchenuhmaykoosib.com/id41.html There's some recent statements there too.

Also, http://dannysakakeep.myknet.org/ has one pic with everyone but Bruce. It's about half way down the page. Aswell, there's lots of photos from the community at http://www.flickr.com/photos/kitchenuhmaykoosib/

And, about background on everyone. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that online, but I think it would actually be better to give background on the community instead.

Lastly, if you want to run your article by me you're welcome to do so, but I'm not sure how much fact checking I'd be able to do. I rely on other people (online articles) for that sort of thing. But if you're going to get into the politics (for example, of Canada's responsibility to respect indigenous rights and how this situation is but one example of a much larger issue in Canada... eventhough they deny it, at the expense of reason and law, to maintain the facade of Justice and integrity inside and outside the courts).... I could confirm and clarify this sort of thing.

If you think I can be of use here, you can send me an email at tbreath(_at_)gmail.com

I'm from a small grassroots activist group in Ottawa following and helping out with the Shabot/Ardoch - Roberstville Uranium protest. Would like to do an article and post pictures on the KI protest and recent arrests. To put a human face on this would ask for access to pictures of the six arrested, Chief Donny Morris, Deputy Chief Jack McKay, Head Councillor Cecilia Begg, Councillors Samuel McKay, Darryl Sainnawap and Bruce Sakakeep. Some background on these people would also be helpful. Is there any way to interview any of them by phone?

If we can do an article we will post on ActCity Ottawa and will submit to TheDominonpaper, Rabble.ca and any other Ontario media that will not change what we right. Can also run our article past your pr people to make sure what is being said is factual.

Let us know if you want to collaborate. Thanks.

Note: On Youtube we have started to post videos - Search for ActCityOttawa and you will find an interview with 1) Robert Lovelace of the Ardoch nation and 2) A Yellow Cake Street Theatre Production by ActCity infront of the Kingston, ON courthouse March 18th, 2008.
