As a fascist organization, AFL-CIO — the national unionized labor umbrella in the United States — can be relied on as spear carriers for Wall Street. From its ardent support of the Vietnam War to its craven submission over the North America Free Trade Agreement, AFL-CIO has proven itself as industrial sycophant for US aggression at home and abroad. With its recent endorsements of the Tar Sands pipeline and the Powder River coal shipping terminals, AFL-CIO has now formalized its opposition to the indigenous peoples movement in Canada and the US. As tensions heighten over North America energy export schemes, AFL-CIO can be counted on to function as Wall Street patsies and thugs.

We're fighting for our lives

Indigenous Peoples are putting their bodies on the line and it's our responsibility to make sure you know why. That takes time, expertise and resources - and we're up against a constant tide of misinformation and distorted coverage. By supporting IC you're empowering the kind of journalism we need, at the moment we need it most.
